About the accomodations

Honorable and idyllic Victoria Hotel dates back to 1880 is located on the harbour in the center of Kragerø. Already in the early 1900s, the town of Kragerø in Telemark was a favorite holiday destination for well-known artists and writers. Experience the narrow and charming city streets with small shops and cafes or take the trip to Jomfruland, which has just been given the status of national park.
Not only do you get along with the diversity Kragerø municipality has to offer, but these two places also have a lot of history.

The Moen Ranch of the Mikrohyttene is located in the early 17th century. For almost 300 years, they have used the sea or walked through the woods to get to the farm. When the Kragerø railway was completed in 1927, a stop for the train was established in the middle of the forest. There was a revolution for those who lived in the farms as they could now carry larger objects to the soil and forestry. It was not easy, however, when there was still a few kilometers left through the woods in rough terrain. The road to the farm came first a few decades ago, and the last hundred meters down to the ranch were completed as late as 2015.
